Boy the greens on some of these courses...........

Post by Dmanz56 »

are just simply, STUPID. When your third putt is further from the hole than your first one. How can anybody putt on some of these marbles?

That is all. Just needed to vent.

I am sure, you are talking about Grandview. Hard course with sloped greens. A great challenge for the experienced but frustrating for the rest. I feel your pain.

LOL - yep, some greens are challenging just as in real golf - eg The National in Toronto, Canada - 13.5 to 14 stimp - touch of a surgeon required!

Just something to think about. Many of us have been members of PGLS since 2015. Also, many of us purchased Perfect Golf in 2014 when it was offered to the public for just $20.00 (rounded off). Having said that, some of us have between 3,000 and 8,000 hours of (time played) in this game. That's a whole lot of experience plus exposure to the glitches and work-arounds along the way.

Depending on how competitive you are you'll refine your shots as you learn the nuances of the courses, the stimp settings, lies in rough/deep rough/sand etc. I like to shoot for the top 10 on any leaderboard, that's good enough for me. BUT, that doesn't happen all the time. If a player has a goal to win a tournament he/she needs to take a lot longer time to hit each shot than I do. I zoom along at a pretty fast pace and let lady-luck determine the shot's outcome. :v:

I personally played a lot of solo rounds with mulligans enabled. I would hit the ball in a fairway bunker/green side bunkers or the rough/deep rough and practice with various clubs and power. I use three-click, have since 1997 with other golf games.

This golf game requires hours and hours of playing and paying attention to details on difficult shots.

Enjoy the game and have fun. The incredibly low scores at times seem questionable, don't let those scores deter you from having a wonderful experience with Perfect Golf. I think we all are very lucky to still have this game on Steam and PGLS as our go-to site for learning and playing all kinds of tournaments and events. AND in many cases, finding new friends who you can play social golf with through Discord, Skype or simply use in-game chat.

Keep on truck'n! :drinks:
