Public Tournaments

Post by Niblick47 »

Not showing up in the game. Official tournaments are showing but not public. Any ideas what happened?

I have them all showing, although it's now 12 hours later than your topic :hmmm:

I may have traced your issue.

By any chance did you try to create / edit a createAgame, because the PGLS logs are full of errors when you did, which very likely would of stopped any PGLS tournies showing in PUBLIC?

If you have a createAgame set "Active", then click on "Make Inactive" then try PG again.

I will still need to find out what went wrong though.

Thanks for your reply. When I verified the files with Steam I had three that need to be acquired. And a game I created apparently had some type of error which prevented any of public tournaments showing up. As you said, I inactivated the game, remade it, and now everything is showing again. So it seems that any error in creating games may inactivate all public tournaments.

Which will probably be the 3 courses recently added ...

Sedgefield CC Ross
Royal Troon
Royal Birkdale GC

which were discussed here ...

If you had made a createAgame with any of those courses and then validated PG you would needed to have re-downloaded the above courses for them to work.

I did not create a game with any of these courses, but it does look like I'll have to download them again, as they are not showing in the carousel.

After you've downloaded them, save a copy of the .description file from each of those three course folders someplace where you can find it later. Then if you ever have to verify again, all you need to do is replace the verified copies of those three files with your saved copies.
