The best thing you can do to make your computer perform faster than it ever has with it's Hard Drive (older motherboards) is to acquire a SATA III SSD at whatever storage capacity you like. Then clone your HDD to the SSD using free software like Macrium Reflex Free version. You will love your computer's performance beyond anything you could have imagined. (for DIY users)
