I'm curious...

Post by RickW »

In the real life tourney everyone's cumulative score is shown (e.g. -1, -3, +1, +3), but not PGLS Tours. The TOTAL column is blank. I'm sure there is a good reason for this but can't think of one.

Whatever Tour you are playing the Total and Strokes will show '--' until you have played a round.

Any rounds you haven't played will show a '?' for all players. Any rounds you have played will show all players scores for that round and the Total and Strokes columns will reflect the rounds you have played.

However it seems the Total column is showing '--' regardless of how many rounds a player has played.

I will look into this.

That's the way it's supposed to work. So far I've played 3 rounds and no totals so far.

The 'Total' column is now working correctly.

That's because you are playing the American Tour. Scores are hidden as a result until you have played that round. There is no need to hide the Continental scores for you as you aren't playing it this week.

Yeah, I too am curious why we don't see the total scores on Tour rounds, only those we have played - I'm not bitcjing, just curious as to why we do it this way for the Tour rounds only

I think the reason is this was started to mirror, as close as possible, to the real PGA Tour. So, each player, playing the PGA Tour only does one round a day and has no way of knowing who will be leading for the next rounds. Keeps the competition guessing on what score they will need daily to win.
