Caddie Advice
Hello all,
Still trying to find my way around. When it shows caddie advice and say's "9% power loss and 9% spin loss" all this is referring to is what you will experience with the shot given the chosen club?
I really wish the game had a manual that would explain things properly.
Thanks.

Yes, and I will tell you that it is not always accurate. The spin loss is usually close, but the power loss can vary. It is just a learning process like most games. Also, you need to factor in course conditions since soft will take more club and hard will take less.

Best way is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE - EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE.
Just takes time to learn.
You will be a better player than me in no time.

Re: Caddie Advice
Once the power loss exceeds 20%, all bets are off and the guessing game is on - if power loss says 22%, I add 5% more to 27%, for example - below 20%, however, it is usually reasonably accurate - higher the spin loss rate, the more the ball will roll out, in my experience - again, as Golferdee stated, practice, practice, practice! Enjoy the game!

Re: Caddie Advice
In addition, Spin Loss not only affects the roll out, but also your ability to shape a shot right or left. Your draw and fade begin to suffer significantly once spin loss gets over 15%. As many others have said, experience and practice are the way to learn and gauge these aspects of the game.

Re: Caddie Advice
I often fire my caddie and then look into the crowd for some lovely lass with big boobs to carry my bag - game usually improves thereafter! :-)
