format change?

Is there a reason/mistake why this wonderful ALT ONLY tourney is now multi format ? imho Greens and esp Scramble just take too long to play...deja vu shots every other shot just not fun to play.....parring a par 5 takes 9 or 10 shots....boring.....

Nope and nope again. I like the change and alt shot all the time is boring. How can it take you so long to to choose between two shots ? Sounds like the problem is somewhere else lol.

its not the choosing thats the problem its the duplicate shots you have to do every shot.....thats the boring bit.....if player 1 creams a drive straight down the fairway, player 2 wasting time hitting same shot....boring

scramble format is not a true pair tourney......one player can dominate

a scamble is for fun, I like having fun and anyway it's only one round no big deal.

Agree with NibNob - no excitement when missed shots have no consequences. My partner Shuffler who is a straightshooter can repair all my wild shots. And he misses the practice he got playing difficult 2nd and 3rd shots to the green he never had to do when playing solo :)

if you want this tourney to remain competitive pairs event then leave it as alt ..... if you continue to select scramble every 3rd week then im done....im not wasting my time....

I haven't seen much complaining about the Pair Up 9 being Scramble in the past. Not sure what the big deal is. We all have the same conditions to play. And frankly, to see the player who is ranked #1 in 4 of 9 categories and #2 in a 5th category leading the charge on this complaint gets no sympathy from this golfer...just sayin...

there was lots of complaining about pair up 9 changing from alt only to greens/scramble years ago .....it was a well populated tourney back then and look at it now.....
