I agree that scramble for Divisions takes too long. Save it for pairUp9 and just use alt-shot and greensomes.

I can see both sides of the issue, but these tournaments weren't created to cater to one golfer's interests. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to play.

The Divisions (PairUp) tourney has never been an "Alternate shot" only tourney ...

rules.php?ruleset=34

The setters have always had the choice of 3 formats since it started in May 2020 and until January 2022 each period of the month did indeed have different formats.

However since January 2022 it had been set as "Alternate Shot" for all periods for reasons unknown.

reason is obvious.....alt is a quicker, more competitive, less boring format with every shot having consequence....

Never read one complaint about using only alt-shot. I tried to do the same for pairup9 and received many complaints. 9 holes compared to 18. If it's not broke why fix?
