Hi All,
Starting in February, the Divisions Pairs intends to go to an 18 hole, mostly alt shot format. It's currently a 9 hole format of mixed alt shot, greensomes, and scramble.
The number of teams, as is, is slowly dwindling so I think a change is needed to spark more interest.
This is the place to add your opinion.
The courses scheduled for January are all from Pennsylvania. Oakmont CC, Merion CC, and Aronimink GC.
The courses scheduled for February are all located on Long Island, NY. (Southampton Links, Bethpage Black & Red, The National Golf Links of America, and Shinnecock Hills). We'll follow this geographic format for 6 months.

Re: January 2022 Division Pairs format
This is the right move....but i would make them all Alt shot , then theres no confusion as to what format it is....plus Alt is the only true test of pairs....

Re: January 2022 Division Pairs format
well here it is Feb and it is still just set for 9 hole rounds and not even a bracket has
been put up. as for the number of tourney players dwindling it is understandable with some of the sets
and pin settings I have seen lately looks like things are just being set up for the top 10/15% percent of the players to
compete, I have been around these tourneys for 4 years or so. as for having any fun playing the tourneys any longer is gone
and I am really not one who wants to set on the edge of my seat to try and do good. I have quit playing these tourneys other than the pairs stuff
and the only reason I still play them is due to having a good partner that I have a lot of laughs with while on voice chat, with spring coming fast and her RL golfing taking over she will be gone and I guess I will be too. really too bad how things have gone with this once great tourney site. but considering where the game went it also looks like the tourneys are heading the same way.
have a great day all, guess I will be back on the game over the weekend to play the weekly pairs, maybe skills for a warm-up
and then some fun rounds with my partner on regular MP as it looks like that is where I have been pushed too.
