A Frustrated Golfer

Post by Golferdee »

Started playing these great tournaments 5 years and 7 months ago as an Amateur.

I admit my game has improved somewhat but still an Amateur and have many frustrating rounds (sounds familiar ?)

However I am still convinced I will remain an Amateur for life. :hmmm:

Hi Golferdee,
if it's any consulation you are not alone. I to get very frustrated, paticularly on the greens. The ball always runs at the hole then slides away missing by fractions of an inch, very frustrating, tried many ideas still can't get it to work! Did not have this trouble when I played the game for real. Good luck for the future, Rustyred.

Hi,

I,m not sure what the difference is between pro and amateur but is it possible to ask to be moved up to pro to see how you get on?

I thank you for the suggestion but knowing what my game is like I think that would only have a negative effect on my self confidence.
Also if I could ever achieve Pro status I would like to think I earned it.

Re putting, I found that using the "putting stick:" on my putts greatly improved my reads, though I am still a lousy putter!
