Real courses details

Post by JoeMen »

I was going to compile a more detailed list of the PG real courses for my merry little group´s tournaments. But first I wanted to check if anyone already did this and could share it with me.
I have arranged The Open, US Open and Euro Tour. To continue the theme I need more details than found on this website Courses details.
What I was thinking was COUNTRY of course, perhaps YEAR FOUNDED but also small tournaments built around our most loved REAL LIFE DESIGNERS like;
Ross, Tillinghast, MacKenzie, Nicklaus, Fazio, Dye, Raynor etc etc.

I compiled a lot of info on PG courses in a spreadsheet. I haven't updated it since 2021, but it's almost complete.
PG_Course Directory(22-Feb-2021).xlsm
(151.63 KiB) Downloaded 35 times
Looks like the last course I entered was Skunky's Augusta 2020 on page 4 of the recent courses.

I might add the missing ones tonight and re-submit.

Hi John,
many thanks, you are always helpful.
After retirement I few years ago I dont have access to Excel, I use the free TextMaker.
Excel files can normaly be converted, but I think this is a special macro format of Excel sheets.
I will look into it later, but let me know if you can convert easy within the app.

Joe,

I'll convert it to non-macro in a few days

No worries, I could convert it to PDF with an online tool. I have got all the text, so I can easily find all PG real courses in different continents which is all I need for now.
Thanks again, I can see your dedication when making the original file

Thanks, but I am happy with the list I already got.
Unless the slim chance of the original real course designers are on the list (not the PG designer which I already have).

Many thanks for the spreadsheet . I use it to log my scores as I try to play every course . I have added courses to the ones you had done . Not in such great detail but its definitely my go too .

Always complaining, too lazy to Google the name of the designer of the real courses.
