After all these years I stopped trying to be at the top of the leaderboard; I have no desire to take the time to "super concentrate" only to be beaten by someone who will ALWAYS have a score 2 to 4 strokes better than my best effort. Meaning, they learned not to use their exploit to show-off too much by shooting 15 to 20 strokes lower than all the other players.

How do they do this? I figure they just wait until the real contenders finish the 3rd or 4th round and go about their dirty work to make sure the score is fairly close to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers. It's always been that way in all golf games. People who know how to program (I don't) can modify their Swing Controller or Mouse however they please. Or find some other exploit. That is what makes gamng fun for them, the challenge of learning how to exploit it, not learning to play it with integrity. We've already seen it time and time again in Tour Pro. Tour Pro?! That's suppose to be the toughest level with any swing-type, yet there they are on any supporting sites' at the top of the leaderboards.

Another factoid: You (usually) won't see the #1 through #5 players on any JNPG supported site play in Hazard and Skills events. They are not able to use their exploits to gain the advantage or they know they can't be #1. Powerful motivator for some online compeititors, not to be #1. :flex:
Personally I take exception to this statement, it is very derogatory to the members who play the toughest level as a challenge to themselves.
You are insinuating - correction, you are blatantly stating that Tour Pro players are cheating the game and other site users.
I think an open apology should be given NOW for this statement.

I did not imply all Tour Pro players. You should take away from this post that "some" players in Tour Pro and Pro are using exploits. I was clear in my statement that this applies to Stroke Play tournaments. (see blue text in your quote)

Mako,

You're not guilty of exploitation, anyone who has played you knows you are a legit 3clicker. However, your defensive reaction to my post might be misconstrued. It's an open forum and I spoke my mind. I think you simply overreacted, especially removing me from your Friends List at Steam.

You might want to add me back, we have future competitions ahead of us. Bygones. :good:

Affo wrote: In the few multis I have played, my scores aren't as good as solo play and one main reason is that I don't get into a rhythm in a multi, you could go a few minutes between shots and as it is more social, the concentration isn't always the same and you get bits of lag, jumps, pauses. Maybe others find the same, just how I find it.
Would totally agree. My scores in head to head multiplayer are a few strokes worse for that reason of rhythm. Hence I dont play in ladder matches.

Ok, I randomly recorded my 3rd round in last week's PGA9, turned out to be a decent one. Here's a link to see it on my youtube channel, only 8mins long.

It is using the in game record round feature and nothing been done to it apart from converted to an mp4 file. You can see...I don't hit straight all the time!

The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

thanks...I have posted another video on my youtube channel showing an 18 hole round from this morning. This time recorded in real time.

Some guys might like to see how much power I use on certain shots and where I put the dot etc, hope you find it helpful.

all computer games lend themselves to cheating. that why you can by a cheat book nearly at the same time you might purchase the game. some people like to cheat it gives them a false buzz and should grow up.

@Affo,

How do you explain being able to use the Top Cam to aim the ball in Tour Pro? The golfer does not move but the ball goes where you aim it. Top Cam is not suppose to work for Tour Pro level. Really need to shed some light on this for all of us.
