why did i receive a penalty stroke

I was finishing up rd 4 of the PGA9 tourney and putted out on the 18th hole to finish at -1 for the round, The leaderboard is supposed to come up but all that showed was a blank page. Almost like the Steam sever screwed up. I exited the page and restarted the game and it said resume. I hit the resume button and it set me back at my 3rd shot out of the trap on number 18. I finished up the same way and when it went to the leader board, it said +7 when it should have been +6. I then went to the PGLS site and looked up my scorecard for that round and saw a penalty stroke. Why was I given a penalty stroke when I didn't do anything wrong? Four letter words were spewing out of my mouth when I saw that. It's bad enough that I don't have a computer with a great frame rate to make my meter more efficient and smooth, but to get screwed on top of that, with a penalty stroke is BS.

Usually a penalty is incurred when a player closes the game mid shot or before clicking continue on the "Post Shot" screen.

You should of received a PM telling you which hole the penalty occurred on if it helps.

However I have removed the penalty stroke on this occasion.
