Course categorising and rating
Course categorising and rating
When I played Jack Nicklaus 6 for many years one of the guys there produced an Excel document listing all the courses available, together with his rating for them and he also colour-coded them according to whether they were coastal, parkland, mountain, etc.
I'm going to have a go at the same kind of thing for PG and welcome suggestions for rating categories I might use. So far I have 'visual appeal', 'hole variation', 'green fairness' and 'memorability'. Any more would be welcomed!

Nice proposal Bob. If possible/easy in case of real course could you give the Country/States, because it's nice to know where we play.

Re: Course categorising and rating
Hi Bob that could be very useful. Another piece of knowledge importance to me is whether the couse is at sea level or Altitude and if possible some type of grading from low level to high level of altitude.

Here is a snapshot of my course listing/stats. If you want the course data I have gathered, I can provide it.

Hello Bob,
After thinking 2 points :
1- For set Country/States in face of, perhaps it's better to put a "link" in real column ?
2- Important, if you will build a excel file, think at all people haven't Excel soft (poor french retired, they use Libre Office !). You will manage/store your file with Google drive and with sharing, i will can help you in this task ? If you want Sir.
