With Masters Week almost upon us for another year, this coming week in the PGA18 will see us playing our innovative Day-by-Day format.
Opening as usual at the end of this week, the event will feature the first round with pins selected to be as close to that played on the first day's competition, and with weather conditions and tee locations matched as closely as we can.
Each day, we will be receiving the official Masters pin placement maps which are given to all competitors and their caddies. As soon as these are available and have been mapped onto our Georgia Pines course, the next round will then open.
To avoid confusion, rounds which are not yet open will see you provided with courtesy transport to take you off to the practice ground, and rounds will be reset with the correct course and set-up, and then announced each day as being open for play. We envisage that Friday's set-up will be available by around 1500 UTC, and weekend pins on Saturday and Sunday at around 1700 UTC.
We know that such a special week means that members may wish to play along, but equally may wish to leave rounds until after the real-life event is over. Some of the luckiest amongst us may even have the pleasure of attending the hallowed grounds of Augusta for part of the week.
There is no pressure to keep up with day-to-day play - you are free to play at your own pace, subject to the event closing as usual at its normal appointed hour.
