The following is said about score calculation:
"You get to play 2 shots on each hole and whichever shot lands the nearest counts for the points. If neither of your shots land on the green you get -250 points! Get either of your shots in the hole and you get 1,000 points!"
Just curious, for shots that do land on the green, how are subsequently points allocated. Linear distance to the pin would be easy to compute but unfair to accuracy... (If this is a repost excuse me)

I understand it's 500 points less the distance from the hole, although how it's worked out is unknown to me.
To answer the point about accuracy it is irrelevant as bouncing it off a tree and onto the green 5 feet from the hole counts just the same as chipping it to 5 feet from the hole.
