Playing in tournaments or friendly players
Joined the site a bit ago and I'm a bit lost. My interest is not playing solo and submitting scores at all. I'm more so interested in playing in tournies that involve match, teams, stroke, stableford, etc. with at least one other player. Friendly games that don't count for anything is fine too. What would be suggestions for the best way to go about this please? Sorry if this is basic, but I'm a bit lost on this site.

Hi,
If I were you I would take a look in our M & G chatroom. In there you can ask other players for any kind of matches using the Looking For: dropdown toward the bottom.
Can't guarantee you will get a players interest though.

Re: Playing in tournaments or friendly players
Hi Gordo, First of all, welcome to the the PGLS.
Up at the top of your screen, you see that menu bar? Look over at the right hand end, see the "PGLS Participation" link? Click on it.
This takes you to YOUR "PGLS Participation" screen. Here you can signup for ladders and tournaments. Click on the radio buttons next to the events in which you want to participate. When you have signed up for all the events you want to enter, be sure and click on the [Submit] button at the bottom.
Now, when you load the JNPG game, and the first "main" screen comes up, press on Tournaments. This takes you to the JNPG Tournament screen. There are three options: OFFICIAL, for Perfect Parallel tournies, PUBLIC for these PGLS tournaments and PRIVATE for the OGT tournies.
Click on the PUBLIC option (give it a few seconds), and here you will see a listing of the PGLS tournaments you signed up for that are currently still available to play. Find the event you want to play, click [Enter], and away you go.
Hope this helps.

Re: Playing in tournaments or friendly players
Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm getting more of a sense of this as I look around now. I assume that most players are playing solo matches and then the system submits the scores.
Regarding that, I did join one of the tourneys and when you look at a player's given scorecard for the present tourney, it doesn't seem to indicate on what level they are playing, or perhaps I'm missing something there too.

Re: Playing in tournaments or friendly players
The tournies leaderboard itself tells you what PGLS Level the player is playing at.

That's the in-game leaderboard. The ones I'm referring to are the PGLS ones and in the case of the one you showed ...
