2K25
I see the new game coming out soon (Feb. 27,2025). Any ideas?
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

Re: 2K25
Last twenty years only played Links 2003 and Perfect Golf. I looked at the trailer and just seems these studios add so much more, like crowd noise and players waving to the crowds and crowds themselves. Seems like a waste to me. Just want a game, like PG, that concentrates on excellent courses and realistic play. Sure, I would like more options for clothes, clubs and different looking players but other than that just want a golf game that concentrates on more realism with the wind, club distances and ball reaction. Don't need to feel like I am playing in a real PGA tournament but more like I am playing with friends like a normal golfer does.

Re: 2K25
If you ask me, I just want Links 2003 in a modern engine, with modern graphics, literally. Except few glitches with gameplay (like balls that are lying deeper in the sand bunker will fly further, not vice versa), everything else is just perfect, from physics to 3-click gameplay, career and AI editors, etc etc. Adding the nice presentation and atmosphere on courses is just a bonus.Riddler wrote: Thu Jan 16, 2025 4:26 pm Last twenty years only played Links 2003 and Perfect Golf. And no, Perfect Golf is just bad. From visuals (it's an old game I get it), to the extremely bad physics, especially ball bounces that look like scripted animations, awul. I play PG just because I love to compete, and honestly it's not that bad if you compare to EA PGA TOUR, but honestly, I would like to see this online format on PGLS forums to be available for 2K series, even 2K23 is good enough.

Re: 2K25
I have 2K23 and think its a great game, if you play it a lot. I think I have played it once in the last 2 months. LOL. It takes a lot of practice to get good at it. I think the graphics are better than Perfect Parallel. I play Perfect Parallel because I play with the same 6 players that have been together since LinksLS2000 and only 3 or us have bought it. The others don't want it. We'll see how it goes.

Re: 2K25
We can only dream. It can literally stay in 2.5D, with 3D golfers and courses, and vegetation as sprites, I don't care. We just need modern take on it, with high resolution textures, lighting, 4K resolution, good sounds, etc.Golferdee wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 2:07 am Any chance anyone will ever do a modern update to Links 2003 ?

Links2k is indeed the best... and you can thank Microsoft for discontinuing the PC series and instead, porting it over to the original Xbox, where it was a HUGE FLOP!! Whoever made that decision should be dragged through the streets!!

Links is on XBOX? Wow, didn't have a clue. Will go to YT now to search for some videos of it.RobV wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 10:50 pm Links2k is indeed the best... and you can thank Microsoft for discontinuing the PC series and instead, porting it over to the original Xbox, where it was a HUGE FLOP!! Re: 2K25
Man, just played 2K25 demo (free on Steam), and I'm actually very positively surprised how good the game is. New real time mouse swing and new 4-click system are amazing. It's really satisfying hitting good balls now on Master level. Physics are great, visuals are on par with EA PGA TOUR, audio is fantastic. I see this game already in my Steam library.

Re: 2K25
Tried 2K25 and was not impressed at all. Seemed very unrealistic. Lots of bells and whistles but game itself was just boring. Again, PG, only golf game for me.
