May 19 Player Tier movements

Post by Affo »

The player Tier movements for May 2019 will take place this evening ready for the new month starting Fri 3rd May 2019. Unfortunately, there is a cross over for Divisions and Open, but I cannot cater for every single event, the Calendar just doesn't work like that.

Promoted from Pro to Tour Pro due to continued good scoring, congratulations:

Lol, got to sell it somehow. You've been knocking on the door for a few months and I can see from your scores this week...like a duck to water!!

Affo,

No. I really do not like playing on TP. I miss my beloved minimap, and with my -0.05 / +0.1 consistent snap miss issues I have with this game from the start the penalties are beyond tolerance. I sincerely hope I can make a case if I state that according to past results (the last couple of years) I always have resided in the top-middle tier of the Pro league, with ample prospect of advancing. To be confronted with a shift to TP based on *5* rounds above avg rounds hurts. Besides, you of all people as a stats lover, must know the implications when you base conclusions on a meager population of measurements. Therefor, I plea for a reshift to the comfortably league of Pro.

With kind regards,
OnyxCarp (John)

It's my opinion that once a player reaches Pro level the only way he should be placed at Tour Pro is if he asks to be moved. That's just me as TP level is non competitive and only two players are going to win all the time so a player should have the choice to stay at Pro if they wish. I have no problem with the move from Amateur to Pro but that's my feeling on TP. Just my 2 cents and not anything personal as I know people work hard to make this tour better.

I agree. Since being made Tour Pro the game is no longer fun for me and I'm just not playing as much. I think I only got a few rounds in last week whereas before I used to play and complete as many tournaments as I could. Tour Pro = No Fun
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

Sorry, no one off special treatments.

If your score at the end of the month dictates that a move down can be offered, that's when you can return. It doesn't matter how nicely you explain or ask (though better to read than some of the requests/demands Mark and I receive). I was asked to carry this on from Mike and the rules are in place.

Affo I understand your point and the rules are the rules but wouldn't it be better to have players at TP who want to be there than just having players there to fill the void. If you become TP and dont want to be there what is to stop someone from shooting a couple rounds in the 100's just to be moved back down due to they dont want to be there. Again not trying to start trouble but a lot of people who play TP dont want to and quit playing period just because it is not fun anymore and wouldn't it be better to have more people. I will give a suggestion and that is run two events within the one event each week and have a full score champ and a handicap champ and that cant be that hard to do as they do that in the other tour that's out there. Just a thought but I pretty know the answer.
