Beta Courses

Post by Riddler »

Since we seem to have quite a few Beta courses in the files, what is the chance we ask some of the designers if they play to finish these courses. If not or no reply we delete them from the master files. For example, Stoney still has 5 beta courses still listed. Any thoughts?

Yes, there does seem a lot of Beta courses and some go right back to mid June 2017 …

pgcourses.php?sort=latest&ctype=beta

I think some designers may have moved on or lost the files to make any changes which would almost certainly mean no updates are likely.

Real shame.

Totally agree. It is a shame that Stoney has so many, he is one of the top guys. I only play the PGLS tour courses so I guess I am missing out. Please finish or indicate you are not going to. Thanks.

Real shame.
I wonder if all the "beta" courses could be removed from the main course listing, and moved over to their own listing: Beta Courses

I would rather leave the listings as they are Warren, but could add a "Released" option to the top left dropdown list.

I think a "beta " flAg" on the splash screens should suffice.
ie, Scioto CC 3DG and Wade Hampton Golf Club splash screens
You could add this flags to those beta courses that do not currently have them.

Warren,

Any courses marked as a beta in the PGLS Courses database already have the red "Beta" text overlaid top right of the splash screen.
