Bye bye Tour

Post by rockerrob79 »

As a few of you know I had emergency surgery for a detached retina on Christmas eve and only had vision out of one eye for six weeks and hardly played a few tournaments in January, I had an appointment a week before lockdown and was told I couldn't get prescription lenses on my specs for at least three months as it has changed so much and will change more.
By fluke I won my first ever PG tourney in February and Andy put me up to tour pro, I have nop problem with that but it takes me twenty minutes to play a Pro round and nearly ten to fifteen minutes longer for TP round. I asked Andy kindly to return me to Pro as I was experiencing headaches when playing for longer than twenty minutes but to be honest (pardon the pun) I've seen more feeling in a glass eye. I've played the game and the PGLS from when they were both created but I'm sad to say I will play no more tour events, it's supposed to be fun ffs. But for some it is only fun if they WIN every single tournament they enter. I loved competing against certain players and was above or below them equally week in week out.
I've over four hundred courses in my library so I've decided to go through A to Z on those at Pro level and get some fun out of this great game that way.

Stay safe everyone.

You too Terry, just read all the posts from the level changing topic in January and you're spot on in everything you said.

Hope your new lenses come as soon as possible and your sight returns to it's fullest Rob.
The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.

Play well and enjoy your game everyone! :drinks:

btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Sorry to see you withdraw, Rob. I have enjoyed competing against your scores at Pro level. Hopefully you can get things sorted with your specs and we will see you back. Best of luck.

Thank you so much Charlie, II would carry on the tour at Pro as the time it takes to do a round is just within my comfort zone but Affo is just obsessed with stats and doesn't give a jot about a personal situation like mine. It's not as if I'm out and out trying to cheat. Stay safe m8.

Rob,

Andy (Affo) asked me about this situation and I had to be blunt and tell him we cannot make exceptions. For us to do so would cause untold problems if players could practically pick and choose what level they wanted to play at.

I'm obviously aware of your condition but I can tell you the level change isn't just about your recent tourney win, but your 'recent' scoring in general. Don't forget you can request to drop down a level if your scores permit it at a later date and this is always conveyed in the latest 'Player Tier Movements' topic found here ...
