The Pairs Cup bracket for the top 32 scores from July:
So the question was asked "what's the purpose of these Cups?".
It's intended to be a secondary competition to add a matchup type feel to the grind of the normal Pairs Divisions race. The individual matchup inside each Cup bracket can be played head-to-head by just sending a Steam invite to your opponent. Both team scores get recorded in the Pairs Divisions race as though you played by yourself. Because it's now open to all divisions, and seeding is based on your total points scored in the previous month, the chances of two high scoring teams meeting early in the bracket is greatly reduced. In short, it takes some of the randomness of your opponent out of the equation. Several of the teams have expressed an interest in matching up as 2v2 foursomes. This is a way to do that.
Good luck to all, and matchup as often as you can (though it's not mandatory).

I purposely didn't include the teams BAM, JN6ers, Skipjoe, and Gaelic Storm in the bracket because they didn't complete a round in July. If a member of one of these teams wants to be included in this months Cup, say so here.August 2020 Pairs Cup bracket

...and posting a question aimed at all of the team pairs in this division.
If a team has a bye in a certain round, but fails to post a score in that round (skips play), should they advance to the next round anyway because it was a bye?
I don't think we have a rule in place, but we should.
Waiting to hear from you.

I think that's the fair play rule to go with. Even if you only score 1 point to advance.
