Period 5 for April
C'mon man. What is the point?
I want to have fun, not spend 2 hours trying to figure out how to hold a green on this track. Hard/hard where its imperative you roll the ball on. Nope, every pin behind a steep hill in front of the green or a bunker. No fun. No one plays these fantasy courses to learn these stupid elevations. Why do you use them in tournaments, and why with these condtions? C'mon.

Re: Period 5 for May
Bring it on....both the Divisions settings for Period 5 are testing but everyone is in the same boat.
At least it is calm!

The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.
Play well and enjoy your game everyone!
btw, not a game for snowflakes.

Re: Period 5 for May
yea when I saw the settings I decided even though it is one of my favs in the tourneys
I would be skipping it to keep down the frustrations, as I really don't come here for that nor do I need it in my life.
I have started playing other games that I can kill the extra time I have. this game has started to get old and stale for me
anyway just biding my time waiting for something new in the golf sim world to come along. TBH the tourneys have also gotten old with me
and it seems the MP with friends on voice chat is really what I enjoy the most.

Re: Period 5 for April
I have just played Division game and I didnt enjoy it one bit. I am playing well at the moment but I felt really lucky to have scored 10 points. I a groundsman at the course were to set it up like that he'd be sacked on the spot, it was so hard to keep the ball on the green even though I'd hit a good shot. If I'd have wanted this kind of challenge I would have played Tough Stuff.

I agree with your comments. I found the round extremely frustrating and finished with only 8 points.Seasider47 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:53 pm I have just played Division game and I didnt enjoy it one bit. that is the problem with it, when most are here to have fun and relax.
not sit on the edge of their seats to play a game.

Re: Period 5 for April
I just played each hole properly, no 122% shots and went for position, got lucky a couple of times where contours got me close enough for a chance of a birdie.
We don't want darts golf every round, then there'll be people moaning about the scores bring silly (even more than they do now)! A tougher exam here and there keeps the game interesting.
Why get stressed about it? If you're not expecting to shoot low then you can still have fun and relax, it's a game, do your best and chill...nothing major riding on anything here.

Re: Period 5 for April
Played my round to even par. My take:
Wrong course (because of some green designs and/or pin plantings) for the hard/hard 14 conditions. This includes the "tricked out" pin planting on a few of the holes.
These conditions would be great with a links style course, but not this one.
I had 4 or 5 putts that were in until they got to within 3 inches of the cup, then rolled 90 degrees away. Just bad planting from the course designer.

Re: Period 5 for April
Well said John, thats what I felt too. The important thing to remember is that we all have different skill levels and ability.
I'm 73 I dont have the eye and hand co-ordination that I used to have but I am still very competitive. Its so frustrating that my eye sees the moment when I need to press the button but it takes my btain a little longer to send the message to my hand lol. To see a shot come so near and just miss then to watch it roll 40 yds away is so frustrating. Thank fully because of the hard work of the setters it doesnt happen very often.
