Oakmont Beta

Post by pobee10 »

Uploaded Oakmont beta to Mega. also link below.

Still working on some of the eye candy, namely the clubhouse as well as some of the aiming poles and other course paraphernalia. Also tinkering with the grass to get dynamic to play nice.

Hope you enjoy, such a classic.

Well done, very nice. Fps was good. I really like your 3d grass, so far no problems that I saw. I never commented on Shinnecock also very well done.

Played a solo round and a very good design, nice to have such a classic course for PG. But the lightning was way too bright when playing with dynamic skies off, or was that only me? I am not sure, you or others would have noticed if it looked the same for everyone. It was such sharp light like the sun was twice as bright as on a hot summer day.
Will try it with dynamic skies on and cloudy to see if it looks better.

With dynamic skies on the only bright objects were the bunkers, for me.

Great looking course!! I wish you would plant at least 6 pins. Some of these greens are very large and with only 4 pins many sections of the greens are unused. For example, the 9th green is huge and the entire back half of the green has no pin placements.

Thanks everyone. Will tinker with light with dynamic off, I admit I usually have it on. More pins coming in final, don’t worry. The ones in the beta are 2016 US open pins
