PGLS TOUR ROUNDS NOW ALLOW MIXED ABILITY MULTIPLAYER PLAY

Post by Mwh65 »

As part of our ongoing plan to add functionality to the PGLS Tour events we have made a further change in how these are presented.

Events will now carry the setting of 'Any' for ability and changes have been made to the way scores and statistics are collected. This now allows players of different difficulty levels to play alongside each other in multiplayer Tour rounds with scores collected at the difficulty level for each person.

For example, a Pro player can now play alongside an Amateur and will retain his Pro setting and both players will record scores to the leaderboard, and vice versa. Previously a host's difficulty level also applied to their playing companion.

The use of 'Any' will now allow us to introduce new levels of play at the end of this season, finishing at the end of the month. We will in future be including Hacker and Tour Pro alongside the present Amateur and Pro levels of play. Points for events will reflect the level of play, and will form the basis for our Order of Merit Championship. For each step on in difficulty, points will double according to position within each 'division' - Winners of each week will win the following prize pots: Hacker 45,000 - Amateur 90,000 - Pro 180,000 - Tour Pro 360,000

We will continue to assign a level of play, and are undergoing a review of present scoring to place players where we feel they will gain most challenge, and where the overall Championship will have its excitement and integrity preserved. Details of these placements into difficulty level will be communicated before the end of this season.

*****THE FOLLOWING IS VERY IMPORTANT*****

Where possible, it is recommended that your PGLS level of Tour play is set as your default player level in Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. When hosting a multiplayer round, the host's default player is used and hosts cannot change to another player level. If you do not have your default player set to your PGLS Tour play level, then join a game as the invitee or guest and you can change as you wish.

Rounds played which do not match your assigned difficulty level will allow you to play along, but scores will not be collected for those who have not matched their PGLS level of Tour play. You will receive a Private Message to tell you when scores have or have not been recorded, on a round-by-round basis.

I hope you will enjoy the changes being made, and the chance to play your rounds together however you wish from now on.
