I Don't Understand
Got an email(s) in my inbox today and thought WTF. Please explain it to a noob. I realise that the PGLS defaults to Amateur level (I normally play Pro). I realised this quite early on after playing my first PGLS round - hit lots more FW than I normally do (ditto greens) and thought I had cracked it (well onto the greens at least). Made a nice change. But for the life of me I really have no idea what is now going on. What do I need to do? What do the charts mean? Totally confused as to whether I should even be playing at Sedgefield
Am quite happy for you to use my numbers as an idiot's guide
The trouble is the explanation might make sense if I have multiple windows open on the site...Not easy to comprehend after 2 pints

Re: I Don't Understand
Mailman,
Anyone can play in the PGLS Open each month, it's just set to one level for all to compete at each month. It was alternating between Pro and Amateur.
As for the charts..it is to show those that are averaging much less than others at that particular level and under the rules that Mike and Mark have devised to keep as even play as possible, those will be "promoted" to play at the next level up. You are smack bang in the middle, so an average Pro, nothing to worry about. In future, if the top line is shorter than the line below it...you'll be "promoted" to Tour Pro, if not, you'll stay as you are.
Hope that helps a bit.

The scores may be unrealistic, or even a joke but heyho, that's what we got.
Play well and enjoy your game everyone!

Re: I Don't Understand
So what happens when you get 'moved'? See when I played my first 2 rounds at Sedgefield I did notice that the conditions for the tourney state player difficulty level 'Amateur'. Does that mean that when I play my next 2 rounds the tournament API sets my player Mailman at an Amateur difficulty level rather than Pro which is my player's default level of difficulty. Sorry if I am being a bit slow on the uptake.

Re: I Don't Understand
Currently the PGLS Open is the only tourney were players do not play using their PGLS Level. Therefore it doesn't matter if your PGLS Level changes during it as this month it is played using the "Amateur" level.
You may have also noticed that if you hosted a PGLS Open round that the level played at, is "forced" to "Amateur" regardless of what your default player is in PG.
