Re: Swing Meter
If you're playing at Amateur and are still having trouble hitting fairways, you could drop your playing level further to Hacker, which is for practical purposes the easiest playing level (there is one lower level, Beginner, but it's really meant just for learning the controls and has a different ...

Re: Setting PG player level
It sounded to me like he was asking how to do it in a recreational non-PGLS game. What Mwh65 said would only apply if and when he starts playing tournaments on PGLS.

Re: PGLS has no courses that start with the letter 'Y'
At long last, the spell has been broken by @RobV, with the addition of Yardley Creek GC Par 3. Now PGLS has at least one course for every letter of the alphabet.

Re: The Caincalaway Classic
I've never played in this tourney, and one reason is that I think I'm too habituated into following a certain process to plan each shot, which includes selecting a different club as needed. I'd probably change club without realizing I'd done it, or even if I catch myself before I take the shot, I ...

Suggested rules changes for Survivor
The current rules ( https://pgls.golfladders.co.uk/forums/rules.php?ruleset=28 ) for Survivor date from a time when there were more active players on PGLS and we'd typically get 75-100 players in the first round. That number has dropped over time to the point that in the most recent period, there ...

Re: Course downloads
Your browser should have a way to display recent downloads. Check that and see if it shows the download has completed. Sometimes your computer/browser's malware protection will block "suspicious" downloads that are actually safe, and there should be an option to override and download it anyway.

Re: End of Round Stats
Links used to have a stat called "3-par distance to the pin" or something like that, which was the average distance to the pin after the first shot on par 3 holes. Could that be what this is?

If you played in every PGLS tournament
A couple of posts in another thread inspired me to run the numbers on something I've wondered about for a while: How much of one's time would it take to play every tourney on PGLS?
Notes:
For monthly events, I'm using 1 month = 30 days
These calculations include only the Tournies dropdown. The ...

Re: A suggestion...
I think the reasoning here is that with Survivor (and PGLS Open - are there any others?) not everyone qualifies to advance to later rounds, so the notification is to inform players that they've qualified. With Divisions and other tournies, everyone can play every round. That said, I think Divisions ...
