Re: Gimmie concern
If it is just a select few it happens to and if it is the 2 second auto press causing the issue then I for one will just turn off 2 second post screen option, goto manual press instead.....if that's easier.....didn't want to start I big debate about gimmie/no gimmie.....ps I still do miss the odd 2footer, to my shame

Re: Gimmie concern
I don't think we know exactly what is causing it. When Harald originally told me it happened I just put it down to one of those things.
Are we able to pin down what everyone's post shot screen is set to? For players with Post Shot screen set to off they of course won't even get the option to press Gimmie.

Re: Gimmie concern
Never seen it or had it happen to me but I wouldn't be apposed to setting the gimmies to AUTO.
If it goes left, its a hook. If it goes right, its a slice. If it goes straight, its a miracle!

Re: Gimmie concern
Happens to me a lot. Mostly due to my post screen set to 1 sec. If I'm just a bit late to click on the gimme it will show me putting on the next screen which then adds that extra putt. My only resolution to prevent this is set my post screen time to 2 seconds which gives me enough time to click the gimme or I just never hit the gimme button and putt it anyway. I think its a flaw in the game.

Re: Gimmie concern
I've now set all tournies at PGLS to have no gimmies whatsoever, obviously requiring every player to putt out from now on.
I think it's best we rule out as many issues as possible using it.

Re: Gimmie concern
While I see the logic of of turning them off completely, ( easiest way to kill a bug is step on it ), could the tourneys not be set with auto-gimmies and thereby avoid the "clicking a button and having a stroke added" issue? When I was setting tourneys at OGT, we always used auto-gimmies and never had any issues at all.Mwh65 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2020 9:34 pm I've now set all tournies at PGLS to have no gimmies whatsoever, obviously requiring every player to putt out from now on.

Re: Gimmie concern
Granted, having auto-gimmies on has the same affect as turning gimmies off in that the gimmies button would never be used however I think having to putt out is more realistic.clicking a button and having a stroke added
