I was around back then and we never could get a solid answer from the devs about what the differences were
having spent much time playing this game and going through both levels, they are the same less the aiming factor.
look at the half-game they brought us do you really believe they took their time to make any other differences if ya do that is your opinion
I myself think they took the lazy way out on anything they could maybe Mark can chime in here with some real data.

I think they started out working really hard and progressed to what you remember. I think the turning point was when the monthly subscription plan failed and they ultimately sold us out. I think the better players notice the difference between Tour Pro and pro a lot less because the assists really only help on the crappy shots and they make a lot less of them.

Say, Dave, re your "I have often wondered why some people stay in PRO mode for so lone instead of moving on to tour pro where they really belong." - it's the PGLS administrators who determine the level moves, not the players - I gather, noting the rules, that the level changes are determined by stroke average and done on a monthly basis by Affo.
Again, Flyer, when playing as Tour Pro, I did not see any difference in swing difficulty over Pro mode - perhaps because I rarely hit the snap under either level, I found no difference other than alignment.

if you want to keep yourself in pro mode that is very easily done by the player himself.
all you got to do is dog some shots and be willing to take higher scores in tourneys to remain at pro
and stay at the top of the pro level. to me this is more ego driven then anything else.

I guess you are calling me a bastard. I've been called worse, so its like water off a duck's back, but hey, if it makes you feel better. My stats for that round have nothing to do with my observation. Sometimes I get lucky.

Hey, whattashot, where did I call you names? Too many beers? I was only asking why you were bitching when you had such good stats

Hey, Dave, I know none of my playing partners that "dog" any game to try to stay at Pro level - we all try to shoot best scores in all tourneys and hope to make Tour Pro status - some of us just ain't that good! - including me, so far! :-(

Right here: Your first post in this thread. No worries, been called worse.

I have played real golf in Texas wind - set up for Round 1 was spot on, Riddler and well thought out - good job! There will always be bitchers and moaners who want easy rounds - fuk 'em - don't let the bastards get you down - you are doing a great job with set ups!
