Pecan Valley GC

Post by Jugador »

Hey guys...this was a public course I grew up playing as a teenager. It was built in the '60s but is still popular. Hope you like it.
Here's a link to a few pics over at PP if you want to see if it's something your interested in. Thanks!

Very nice classic course. Short by todays standard but plenty of pin positions to make it interesting.

Thank you, sir...#2 and #15 were par 5's originally, PGA tour pros were averaging about 250 off the tee, and a gallon of gas was 25 cents!

I used no more than a 5 wood off the tee and no more than a 3 iron from the fw last night and it brought back lots of memories from when I played on my high school golf team.

Very much like a course when I started in Luxembourg many years ago. Tight and tree lined and not as long as some of todays :-)

Yeah, a lot of the older courses are fun to play if you can bring yourself to tee off with a 3 wood. Luxembourg...so far away. (sigh) If only we could jump thru portals! lol
