The League Tables tourney is a tourney where you play matches against other players in your league. Each league consists of 6 players and lasts for 28 days from the 1st to the 28th of every month. You play each player in your league only once per month.
If you wish to take part please click here. You will then be able to add yourself to the Pending Players list ready for the start of the next month. Once signed in you have the option to click on the Withdraw button if you change your mind. Each match is over 18 holes, played in Individual Match Play, on the course / holes specified in Course Details and there is no sudden death. A win will get you 2 points, a tie 1 point and no points for a loss. At the end of each month, based on the players ranking in the final tables, players get assigned to a division for the next month based on the top 2 players getting promoted and the bottom 2 players getting relegated. The position of players in the tables is worked out as follows ... 1. Higher number of points. 2. Higher number of actual matches played. 3. Lower number of asterisks indicating Technical Losses or Technical Ties. 4. Higher average difference (shown as Diff on the tables). 5. Higher number of wins. 6. Higher number of draws. 7. Lower number of losses. 8. Better score in head-to-head match. The average difference as shown in #4 above is based on the score achieved for each match added together and then divided by the number of actual matches played ... 1 Up : 1 point
2 Up : 2 points
2 & 1 : 3 points
3 & 1 : 4 points
3 & 2 : 5 points
4 & 2 : 6 points
4 & 3 : 7 points

5 & 4 : 9 points
6 & 4 : 10 points
6 & 5 : 11 points
7 & 5 : 12 points

| How The League Tables Work |
|---|
|
If a League Tables participant in your division fails to respond to your personal communication, you can request a Technical Win in such a match. You can request a Technical Win from the 20th to the 25th of each month. However the earliest that a Technical Win can be awarded to you is after the League Tables close and there have been no disputes to the request.
The personal communication must be made at least 3 times on 3 different days, the preferred method being to use the My Division automated PM system, which PGLS Admin can verify has been used. You can of course use other communication methods, eg. email from PGLS, private message from PGLS, private message from Perfect Golf or a discussion in Discord, but PGLS Admin will not be able to verify any of these. Players should try to make themselves available in M & G on a Monday evening at 19:00 GMT/BST so that matches can be arranged in there. If a player fails to respond to 3 attempts at communication from another player, the player who attempted to communicate should between 00:01 20th and 00:00 25th GMT/BST of each month, report the communication failure using the Request/View Technical Wins page. It's OK to say Sorry, I'm too busy for the next 2 weeks; let's play our League Tables game in the second half of the month, please. It's not OK to fail to respond at all when fellow players from your division ask you whether you are available or not. If the game, indeed, fails to get completed before the deadline and your opponent does not refute your evidence in the forum within 24 hours from the time-stamp of your original forum post, you will be credited with a Technical Win and your opponent penalized with a Technical Loss. If both sides present evidence in the forum that will make it possible to identify both sides as guilty for the non-completion of a game (not necessarily equally guilty), then the game shall be evaluated as a Technical Tie, with both players receiving 1 point. If, on day 29 of a month, a scheduled division game has not been played, and there has either been no communication about the game in the Technical Win requests forum, or it is impossible to determine which of the 2 players caused the non-completion of the game, such a match shall be evaluated as a Technical Tie, and each player will receive 1 point. If any player by the end of the month has more than 2 Technical Losses or Technical Ties in total, that player will automatically be disqualified from the League Tables for the following month, and may only re-enter the competition the month after that as a league newcomer. |
